Acceptance of Terms

By accessing the content The White Bus.co.uk (“the Website”) you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out herein and you accept our privacy policy. If you object to any of the terms and conditions set out in this agreement you should not use any of the products or services on the Website and leave immediately. ​

The White Bus Ltd reserves the right to change any part of this agreement without notice and your use of the Website will be deemed as acceptance of this agreement. We advise users to regularly check the Terms and Conditions of this agreement.

 

The White Bus Ltd has complete discretion to modify or remove any part of this site without warning or liability arising from such action.

 

Limitation of liability

The White Bus Ltd will under no circumstance be liable for indirect, special, or consequential damages including any loss of business, revenue, profits, or data in relation to your use of the Website.

What personal data does The White Bus Ltd collect?

The data we routinely collect includes customers’ names, addresses and email addresses. We collect this data directly from anyone who purchases tickets or merchandise through our White Bus website.  ​

 

What is this personal data used for?

We use customers’ data for the administration of your purchase; the communication of information, and the organisation of events. ​

 

Who is your data shared with?

Your customer data is collected by Wix , the Website Host and and SumUp, the Payment host, and passed on to The White Bus for administration of purchases. Learn more about Wix's Privacy Policy and SumUp's Privacy Policy here. ​

 

Your personal data is not passed on by us to other organisations.

 

Where does this data come from?

From any purchase made through the White Bus website.

 

How is your data stored?

This information is stored in digital form on computers and paper documents held for administration on the day of the event. We use Google Cloud as our data processor. Any information that is stored remotely is held in compliance with the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation). ​

 

Who is responsible for ensuring compliance with the relevant laws and regulations?

Under the GDPR we do not have a statutory requirement to have a Data Protection Officer. However, we have voluntarily appointed the Web Administrator as the person who is responsible for ensuring The White Bus discharges its obligations under the Regulation. ​

 

Who has access to your data?

Members of the The White Bus event management team have access to customers’ data in order for them to carry out their legitimate tasks for the organisation. Sub-contractors appointed by the The White Bus Ltd may be given access to data for specific tasks. They are not free to use it for any other purpose. ​

 

What is the legal basis for collecting this data?

The White Bus Ltd collects personal data that is necessary for the purposes of its legitimate interests as an event organiser. ​

 

How you can check what data we have about you?

If you want to see the basic customer data we hold about you, you should contact our Web Administrator. ​

 

You can contact us with a “Subject Access Request” if you want to ask us to provide you with any other information we hold about you. If you are interested in any particular aspects, specifying them will help us to provide you with what you need quickly and efficiently. We are required to provide this to you within one month.

 

There is not usually a fee for this, though we can charge a reasonable fee based on the administrative cost of providing the information if a request is considered to be manifestly unfounded or excessive, or for requests for further copies of the same information. ​

 

Does the The White Bus Ltd collect any “special” data?

The GDPR refers to sensitive personal data as “special categories of personal data”.  We do not record any such special data.

 

How can you ask for data to be removed, limited or corrected?

There are various ways:

o    If you would like your data to be removed, you should contact the Web Administrator. However, as we will then have no record of you, this will mean that your membership will have to be terminated.

o    Any corrections to the data we hold should be notified to our Web Administrator who will update your data.  

 

How long do we keep your data for, and why?

We normally keep customers’ data until the event they have purchased tickets for has finished.

All tickets and Festival Passes purchased are non-refundable.  In the case of cancellation by the Venue or The White Bus Ltd, all ticket and pass purchases will be refunded. ​

 

All pre-ordered T shirts are non-refundable unless faulty.  In the case of a faulty item please contact info@thewhitebus.org.uk or 07754 391163. ​

 

fulfilment policy ​

 

No tickets or T shirts will be posted out. All items purchased through The White Bus website will be fulfilled at the event.  You can pick up any ticket or purchase from the Festival Desk, 1st Floor, Park Inn by Radisson Palace, Chapel Road, Southend-on-Sea SS1 2AL at any time during the festival.
